WELCOME TO OUR FAMILY

We are 100% Canadian Family owned and operated. The genesis of Castle Cheese began in 1981 when our founder Bill Boyko relocated from Vancouver to Vernon BC and established a small wholesale cheese business. From humble beginnings, the business slowly grew over the years.

In 1997 Castle Cheese was born out of an idea to provide high quality and attainable cheese products to Canadians. By 2004, Castle Cheese had outgrown its original 6000sq/ft Vernon location. In 2005 we moved into our newly built state-of-the-art facility located 15 minutes east of Vernon in the village of Lumby. With persistent growth thanks in part to our ingenuity and quality we have added multiple additions to our facility and now presently stand at more than 30000sq/ft. Today Castle Cheese is run by the 2nd generation of the Boyko family.

Castle Brand is our standard for all food service items developed, produced and packaged in our facility. Specializing in custom made cheese blends tailored to customers specific needs in regards to appearance, taste and melt. We offer variety of items in shredded, diced, sliced, block and bulk block packs.

Okanagan’s Choice Cheese is our flag ship retail brand. Started by our founder in 1984, OCC takes pride and inspiration in the region of BC we call home. We offer great tasting cheeses all made without the use of modified milk ingredients. Our OCC branded products can be found at most independently owned grocery stores across BC.

Pacific Coast offers high quality retail cheese items at an affordable price. We routinely add special limited time cheese items sold under this brand so keep an eye out for them at your local independent grocer.

Country Farms is our premier brand for our family of Shredded Easy Melt Cheeses. We offer Mozzarella, Cheddar, Mexi and Poutine varieties packaged in a food service format. Country Farms Brand can be found at many leading cash and carry locations across Canada.

In 1995 we ventured into the alternative food market and Okanagan’s Soya Co. was created. Shred it, Melt it, Love it: Okanagan’s Soya Co. boasts amazing vegetarian cheese alternatives packaged in retail blocks. Our blocks are Lactose, Cholesterol and Trans-fat free. Try our tasty flavours: Cheddar, Mozza, Jalapeno, Parmesan, swiss and smoked gouda.

Garden Choice is where you find our 100% dairy-free Vegan products. We currently offer Cheddar and Mozzarella flavours in shreds and slices for food service.
